We invited some of our dealers/customers to tell you what they have experiences with Northland Security Products, and MobileEye. Below is a small collection of some of those experiences.
The Catskill Police Department
is a small agency comprised of
16 full time, and 5 Part time
Police Officers supported by 5
Communications Specialists. We
are located approximately 30
miles south of Albany, New York.
We serve a community of
approximately 5,000 residents,
in a 2.5 square mile area, which
swells any weekday due to
Catskill being the county seat.
We operate a fleet of 6
vehicles.
Since 1996 we have utilized
stationary video camera systems
to provide public safety on our
Main Street, in two of our
parks, a federal housing unit an
dour station. We have found
video and audio recording to be
very beneficial in boosting
public confidence in safety, and
personally, I have found it
useful in protection our
employees, in particular, in
cases of personnel complaints.
Until the end of last year we
had not seriously considered
in-car video systems. My
attitude towards in- car video
changed when I had the
opportunity to see a
demonstration of the MobileEye Digital Video System.
We currently have a MobileEye Digital Video System installed
in one of our patrol vehicles.
We have experienced no problems
with the operation of the system
and find that download and
management of our captured video
to be simple. We are now looking
for funding sources to outfit
our entire fleet with the MobileEye Digital Video
System.
In particular, I would like to
point out the features of the MobileEye Digital Video
System which changed my views.
The MobileEye's 20 second
pre-record of video and the low
maintenance aspects of the unit.
Other systems I viewed had to be
on continuously or the officer
would risk losing valuable video
evidence. The icing on the cake
was the fact that the MobileEye Digital Video
System was developed by Police
Officers who are aware of what
the officers who work for me
encounter on a day to day basis.
Additionally, we have found Northland Security Products “MobileEye”
and Wells Communication to be
very professional in the sales
and installation of our unit.
Their continued support and
concern to our satisfaction in
their product has been second to
none.
